£10 charge for lost season ticket card.

Do you not think they should wave this charge as I have just done £500 to renew my season ticket.

I just don't want to pay it.

I think they are taking the piss.

You should be entitled to 1 free replacement a year because as a returning customer you are saving them the cost of printing one new one every year.

To put it another way, the club earns on every renewed season ticket that doesn’t take up one free card per season.

It’s a way of treating your most loyal customers at least as good as your new ones.

I don't understand why there is so much outrage around being asked to pay to replace items that you've lost?

If they've been stolen then I'd understand it, but you've lost them? Why is there such expectation that they would be free to replace?

I'd assume (and it is an assumption) that if there was never a charge then people would request a new one every time they couldn't find it, which would be loads.

They don't charge extra if you relocate, so why charge anyone else? During the season, fair enough. Not preseason though.

Ten years ago it was a tenner but they always waved it. Just say it was nicked rather than lost.

I agree though, you should be entitled to at least one replacement a year before they start charging you. Different if you’re losing them all the time.

I'm by no means Mr. Moneybag, but other than a bank, if I lose anything plastic in my wallet, there's a charge associated to replace it.

I think it's reasonable, they incur costs because of this, don't think a tenner is unreasonable.

Ten quid is perfectly reasonable. It's little more than the price of postage, materials and labour plus a bit extra to encourage people to look after them properly.
